With any issues or concerns in your music group about tax, health and safety, legal disputes or stress counselling, you should ideally try to resolve them informally within the group. This will save everyone involved from the anxiety, time and money of further action.
Although Making Music cannot give legal advice, we do have a wealth of experience and can offer you support with a range of issues.
If you are experiencing Covid-19 related issues, such as venue hire and professional musician engagement, Making Music Corporate Member Hugh Elder Mediation is offering Making Music member groups five hours of free mediation. More information about this can be found on our website.
Similarly, if you need advice about VAT, then Making Music Corporate member Les Howard, who is a consultant with vatadvice.org is offering groups an initial response to any VAT query free of charge. More information about this can be found on our VAT guidance.
However, if you find that there is no other option and your group has an insurance package with Making Music Insurance Services, then you can use the advice lines below to help you.
These advice lines are not exclusive to Making Music Insurance Services. They can also be accessed by other businesses that have a RSA insurance policy. For this reason, when calling through to any of the advice lines, it is important to provide the relevant information to ensure you receive the assistance that you require. We have provided some guidance about each of these advice lines to make the process of using them as easy as possible.
What should I expect when calling the advice lines?
Your call will be answered by a legal adviser. Remember, the advice lines are open to other clients of RSA and are not exclusive to Making Music members.
The adviser will ask what type of assistance you require - legal, health and safety, tax or stress-counselling. They will then put you through to the relevant person who will be able to assist you with your queries.
