Cuthbert Horn Trust

 

The Cuthbert Horn Trust is a small trust with a limited amount of funding that it provides to registered charities.

The funding is intended to support charitable organisations undertaking general charitable purposes. Previous grants have been for a range of activities such as conservation, education, environmental protection, help for disadvantaged children, music, research and transport.

Voluntary and community organisations operating in the UK are eligible to apply.

Calmcott Trust

 

The Calmcott Trust offers grants to charitable organisations active in the UK, particularly Yorkshire.

The scheme is intended to support organisations undertaking projects in the following areas:

  • Health.
  • Education.
  • Social welfare.
  • The arts.

Applicants should note that the Trust does not maintain a website or an email address. The value of funding is at the discretion of the Trustees.

Emerton-Christie Charity

 

The Emerton-Christie Charity offers grants to registered charities undertaking a wide range of projects in the UK, especially in the areas of education/training, disability, the advancement of health or saving of lives, arts/culture/heritage/science and environment/conservation/heritage.

Funding is available at the discretion of the Trustees. Most grants awarded in the past years have been for between £1,000 and £3,000.

The Astor Foundation

 

The Astor Foundation provides grants for registered charities in the UK.

The primary object of the Foundation is medical research, favouring research on a broad front rather than in specialised fields.

Registered charities based and operating within England and Wales may apply and applications are reviewed four times a year.

Funding can be used for a wide range of charitable projects and activities.

The application process is ongoing and interested applicants may apply at any time.

Arts Council National Lottery Projects Grants

 

This grants programme is intended to help the Arts Council achieve its mission of ‘Great art and culture for everyone’. It also provides a means to support a broad range of not-for-profit projects that create and sustain quality work and help people across England to engage with arts and culture.

The programme supports development by allowing artists, cultural practitioners and organisations to work in new ways and to get their work out to new audiences.

All organisations need to have a bank account in the organisation’s name, with two signatories.

Whitaker Charitable Trust

 

The Whitaker Charitable Trust offers grants to registered charities working in the UK, particularly Nottinghamshire. Applications can be made at any time.

The scheme is intended to support organisations with general charitable purposes.

In particular, the scheme wishes to support:

  • Local charities in Nottinghamshire and the East Midlands.
  • Music.
  • Agricultural and silvicultural education.
  • Countryside conservation.
