Heaton Voices Community Choir


Heaton Voices is a community choir based in Heaton in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. It began in January 2000, set up by Richard Scott in response to the need for a community based singing group. The group is now more than 70 strong. Although we are given music and words at rehearsals our MD insists that we perform from memory at performances. We sing a variety of types of song, folk, world music and contemporary such as: Folk: A North Country Lass, The Broom, Blood and Gold, Ma Bonny Lad World

We perform at various events and venues both indoor and outdoor eg. Green Festival, Alnwick Garden, Ouseburn Festival, Seaton Delaval Hall, Street Choir Festival, Tynemouth Priory, The Sage Gateshead, Peoples Theatre
