Description of vacancy:
Wymondham Choral Society in Norfolk is a mixed choir of 55 singers founded in 1980. We are looking for a Conductor/Musical Director to start in September 2024. We have a wide repertoire (see our reviews), performing three concerts a year in beautiful Norfolk churches. Our home base is Wymondham Abbey and the choir's accompanist is MD there.
We have performed some challenging works with outstanding soloists and musicians, a great privilege.
The choir is a welcoming, friendly community. We prefer our singers to be able to sight-read although that isn't essential.
Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings during school term times. Concerts are in March/April, July and early to mid December.
