Giacomo Susani (guitar)

Italian guitarist Giacomo Susani won first prize at the London International Guitar Competition in 2016 and studies at the Royal Academy of Music with the support of the prestigious Julian Bream Trust Scholarship. His recital includes music by his fellow countrymen Frescobaldi and Scarlatti alongside some of his own work. He premiered the Tate Sonata in London in March 2018. This concert is supported by the Countess of Munster Musical Trust.

He plays on two instruments, one made by the Spanish maker Domingo Esteso (1926) and one by the English luthier David Rubio (1996)

"…rare gifts…" ; Giacomo was thrilled to be awarded the Julian Bream Trust Scholarship by Julian Bream himself
"His general quality of interpretation and performance places him among the most advanced young guitarists having met my attention." - Oscar Ghiglia
