Budleigh Music Festival

A week of classical music in Budleigh Salterton on Devon's Jurassic Coast. Evening Concerts (£18 each) feature performances by Soloists of the 12 Ensemble (Schubert and Tchaikovsky), Sansara (choral works from Tallis to Britten), the Pleyel Ensemble (Hummel and Schubert), the Festival Orchestra (an evening of Mozart, including his Oboe Concerto K.314 with soloist Richard Simpson), the Sikovetsky Trio (Beethoven and Saint-Saëns), 2014 BBC Young Musician winner Martin James Bartlett (piano works by Liszt and others), the Elias Qarten (Haydn, Hindson and Beethoven) and the Devon Opera, performing Mozart's Cosi Fan Tutte. The evening programme is complemented by a series of free lunchtime concerts, highlighting local and early-career talents. These include BBC Young Musician section finalists Eliza Haskins (recorder) and Josaph Pritchard (cello), along with the Isca Ensemble, Nina Savićević  (piano), Isabelle Barber (violin), Jerome Blackburn (percussion), Jade Gall (saxophone) with Alex Wilson (piano), and Andreas Moutsioulis (guitar).
