Claiming Gift Aid on your subscriptions (online event)
Did you know you might be able to claim Gift Aid on membership subscriptions paid to your group, even if you are not a registered charity?
Did you know you might be able to claim Gift Aid on membership subscriptions paid to your group?
Gift Aid allows charities to claim 25p on every eligible £1 donated to them - which is a great boost to your income. But in many cases the membership subs paid to your group can qualify for Gift Aid too. So, if you collect £6,000 in Member subs, you could get a payment of £1,500 from HMRC.
You don’t have to be a registered charity to claim Gift Aid, and once you are set up you can keep claiming every year. But it’s important to know and understand the Gift Aid rules and what information you need to submit a claim.
In this event, we’ll help you to understand what is eligible for Gift Aid, explain the ins and outs of using the HMRC online system to submit your claim, and answer your questions.
The presenters will stay online from 6.30pm until 7.00pm to answer these and any additional questions and for more tailored support.
