Musical workshop on Purcell choruses

 for singers and instrumentalists

Singers and instrumentalists will work separately in the morning and as a combined ensemble in the afternoon.

Michael Cameron-Longden will direct the choral and combined sessions. Michael is the musical director for Hillfoot Harmony in Dollar, Cathures Chamber Choir in Glasgow and the Early Music Forum of Scotland’s choral activities.  Lynne Hope will lead the instrumental sessions. Lynne is an experienced workshop leader and teacher of recorder, woodwinds and keyboards.

New to EMFS events? To get the most out of the day, you should have some experience of singing/playing early music notated in minims. As well as “early” instruments (recorders, viols, cornetto, curtal etc), we welcome modern strings and other sympathetic instruments.
