Swing into summer

Join the Midland Concert Orchestra for an evening of summer entertainment not to be missed!
Under the baton of our inspiring young conductor Joe Davies, and fresh from our spring concert at The Swan Theatre, Worcester, The Midland Concert Orchestra, a 40 piece ensemble, are returning to Fairfield Village Hall on Sunday June 23rd, 7pm.
Our upcoming Summer Concert will include an opportunity to relax with a glass of wine from the bar whilst listening to the orchestra play swing and popular music from across the decades. Primarily the music will be from the Great American Songbook, from the libraries of Cole Porter, Gershwin, Irvine Berlin, Rogers and Hart and many more.
We offer unique arrangements of some of the best songs from Broadway, which will also include many jazz standards.
You will not only be entertained by the orchestra, but along with our compere Peter Tomlinson, whose unrivalled experience as a broadcaster, and his knowledge of our repertoire will make for an informative, entertaining and smooth running evening of
music.
Our vocalists Claire Worboys and Jonathan Darby who between them have many years’ experience of performing with the orchestra, will bring characterisation and dramatization to their performances.
