Summer School 2019

Summer School 2019

12th August - 14th August

…voyages of discovery!

Music for Everyone’s 2019 Summer School will be a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in quality music-making in a stimulating, friendly environment.

This year we are delighted that Nottingham High School is hosting our Summer School. Their outstanding facilities, excellent bus and tram links and on-site parking make it the perfect location for an inspiring musical experience.

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing & Sir Robin Knox-Johnson’s completion of the first single-handed circumnavigation of the globe, the theme of this year’s Summer School is Voyages of Discovery. For full repertoire (including Holst's Jupiter and Strauss' Also sprach Zarathustra) be sure to visit our website.

Playing or singing, develop your music-making through a series of workshops and rehearsals led by our expert and friendly tutors, exploring a range of repertoire, both challenging and fun. You will receive copies of the music about four weeks in advance.

Gain unique insights into performance through our special programme of workshops and recitals given by professional singers and instrumentalists of national and international standing. This year we are pleased to present Scaramella, Hilary Campbell, and Zephyr Wind Ensemble.
