This concert illuminates the variety of ways ‘light’ has proved a constant source of inspiration to composers and poets across the centuries, whether it be sunlight, moonlight, starlight or a flicker at the end of a tunnel. Featuring choruses from Elgar’s oratorio, The Light of Life, alongside music by Rachmaninoff, Amy Beach, John Rutter, Duke Ellington, The Beatles and more.
