Evening Concert

Come and experience Scottish clarinet playing at its finest!

As a celebration of its first birthday, the Choir is delighted to welcome world renound guest soloist, Nicolas Baldyrou to Edinburgh. You will hear the Choir, which is made up of professional players, teachers, students and amateur clarinettists from all parts of Scotland, perform a variety of arrangements of familiar pieces and original compositions.

The SCC’s Music Director is John Cushing, well known to audiences as the former long-standing principal Clarinet of the RSNO, who will take the Choir through its paces and introduce you to the many colours of a clarinet Choir, from the brilliance of the tiny Eb sopranino  clarinet to the rich depths of a Contrabass!

The aim of the SCC is to introduce audiences and enthusiasts to the sound of the clarinet throughout Scotland and give players a high level opportunity to perform a wide repertoire.
