Every year we hold a Come and Play day. This is an open session where we welcome new players to come along with their instruments and enjoy an afternoon's orchestral playing. We stop half way through for tea and cake and then finish off with a performance for friends and family.
This year we are working through the Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6, 4th movement and movements from Tchaikovsky's Sleeping Beauty.
The Come and Play day will led by our new Music Director, Adam Whittaker.
Ideally you will have reached grade 5 standard or above, or have had recent experience of playing in an orchestra. It doesn't matter if you haven't played for a while many members of the orchestra got back into playing by coming along to the play day.
