Guildford-based chamber orchestra, Surrey Mozart Players are performing Beethoven’s gorgeous Violin Concerto with world-renowned violin soloist, Chloë Hanslip in the beautiful surroundings of St Teresa's School, Effingham.  Chloë was brought up in Guildford and made her BBC Proms debut in 2002, and has since gone on to appear as soloist with all the major orchestras around the world, so it is an absolute pleasure and privilege for the Surrey Mozart Players to be accompanying this virtuoso musician.  Anyone who loves Beethoven, the violin or exquisite playing cannot afford to miss this fabulous concert which also includes Beethoven’s ever-popular Pastoral Symphony and Rossini’s Thieving Magpie Overture.  With keenly priced tickets for 21s and under, this concert will appeal to all ages and will include insightful and thoughtful introductions to the music by Musical Director, Kenneth Woods.

Their playing has recently been described as: 'well articulated, vigorous and controlled with strong dynamic contrasts, steady, harmonious woodwind, brass and string combinations and delicate phrasing... thrilling.'

Kenneth Woods has worked with many orchestras of international distinction including the Royal Philharmonic, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Budapest Festival Orchestra as well as on the stages of some of the world's leading music festivals such as Aspen, Scotia and Lucerne.  In 2013 he took up the position as Artistic Director and conductor of the English Symphony Orchestra.
