Worcester Festival Choral Society is delighted to open its 160th concert season with a stunning programme of much-loved choral and orchestral works by Mozart and Fauré.
From the lively overture to Mozart’s opera The Magic Flute and the divine choral harmonies of his Solemn Vespers, to the beauty of Faure's Cantique de Jean Racine and the glorious melodies of his Requiem mass, this is a long-awaited, major concert not to be missed.
Appearing alongside the 150 voices of Worcester Festival Choral Society will be four, internationally acclaimed soloists: soprano Emilia Morton, mezzo soprano Cathy Bell, tenor Frederick Jones and baritone Julien Van Mellaerts.
Conducted by director of music Samuel Hudson, and accompanied by the superb Meridian Sinfonia orchestra, the concert’s magnificent setting of Worcester Cathedral adds the perfect finishing touch.
