The Jack Brunton Charitable Trust has been operating since 1986, when it was created by Jack Brunton, a local farmer in North Riding of Yorkshire.

The Trust provides grants to charities, community groups, enterprise groups and a range of other organisations, for projects which benefit the rural villages, towns and communities within boundaries of the old North Riding of Yorkshire.

Although funding is at the discretion of the trustees, most grants tend to be for £2,000 or less with larger grants being made exceptionally.

Projects which do not benefit communities within the old North Riding of Yorkshire will not be considered.
