The London Community Foundation is part of the Community Foundation Network (CFN), made up of more than 40 Community Foundations from across the UK.

The Foundation has awarded over £70 million in grants to more than 11,500 charitable projects across the capital since 1995. In the last five years alone, it has supported around £1,000 community projects annually across the capital.

The Foundation's grant-making programme helps fund and support a wide range of activities that improve the lives of London’s most disadvantaged, including child poverty, unemployment, isolation, homelessness, domestic violence and gang crime.

The level of funding varies, depending on the grant scheme. Typically the Foundation provides grants of between £500 and £25,000.

The average grant size is around £5,000.
