A CELEBRATION OF EASTER

Atherstone Choral Society

An evening of choral music presented in the beautiful setting of Holy Trinity Church Hartshill. The audience will join the choir in singing the hymns that link the choral sections of Stainer's well-known 1887 English oratorio. This will be presented alongside Mendelsohhn's 1844 anthem with its popular passage "O for the wings of a dove" and Vaughan Williams' setting of three English Easter poems, which was first performed in 1911 in Worcester. Prize-winning organist Darren Hogg and soloists Carolyn Hall, Dale Harris and Andrew McWilliams will be supporting the choir, led by MD Kevin Gill. Car parking is available on site and across the road in the school grounds
