In addition to the beautiful Mendelssohn Violin Concerto played by international soloist, Alexandra Stemp we've got a full programme around the theme of The Sea lined up. A lot of well known favourites plus a rare chance to hear Ethyl Smyth's brilliant overture to The Wreckers. Alexandra was born and raised in Blackpool before leaving to play with many of the major orchestras in this country and abroad but she is thrilled to be back in her hometown.
