Bournville Clarinet Choir

Founded by Nigel Wood in 2015, the Bournville Clarinet Choir has become a well-established music ensemble with a membership of around twenty players from Birmingham (UK) and further afield. We rehearse fortnightly (in term time), give several concerts locally throughout the year, hold occasional workshops and have appeared on the More 4 TV programme “All Gardens Great and Small”.

The line-up of instruments ranges from the tiny Eb clarinet down to the impressive Contrabass. The choir’s repertoire is unique and challenging, spans the centuries and includes myriad genres. Our musical director customises the music to suit the players’ abilities, and programming blends a mixture of original compositions and arrangements alongside standard repertoire.
