Spring Concert: Petite Messe Solennelle

Burgess Hill Choral Society

Rossini’s “Petite Messe Solennelle” is neither small nor entirely solemn.  The instrumental accompaniment was originally scored for piano and harmonium, and this is the version BHCS will be performing.  Burgess Hill Choral Society will be accompanied by Kate Matthews on piano and Neil Matthews on harmonium, and by four local, professional soloists. Mike Wood BEM, our Musical Director and Conductor, is the charismatic MC for this event. Refreshments will be available during the interval.

The concert venue is a short taxi trip or 20 minute walk from Burgess Hill main line railway station (or 10 minutes walk from Wivelsfield Station).  Car parking is available on streets near the venue.  The venue has disabled access.
