Remembrance Concert at Chelmsford Cathedral

Chelmsford Singers

The Chelmsford Singers, the choirs of Chelmsford Cathedral, and Chelmsford Sinfonietta unite for a concert to mark the 100th anniversary of the ending of World War I. The programme includes Herbert Howells's Hymnus Paradisi, anthems by Ireland and Vaughan Williams and the UK premiere of Michael Leighton Jones's 'Remembrance', a triptych of poems by Brooke, Magee, and Thomas set for choir, trumpet, and organ. The choirs are joined by soloists Samantha Crawford and Tom Stapleton. Refreshments will be available in the interval.
