Copthorne Silver Band

A typical brass band, Copthorne Silver Band has a history spanning 100 years. This very friendly non-contesting village band is close to Crawley in West Sussex, just 1 mile off the M23 south of Gatwick.

Playing a wide variety of music to suit all occasions, functions include local fayres, flower shows, bandstands, churches and other community venues.

Additionally they are available to play at private functions: such as wedding anniversaries, big birthdays and weddings!

The lifeblood of any musical group is its players, therefore we are always pleased to welcome new musicians into our midst. Players come from all walks of life, with some having formal musical training, while others are more self taught. All ages and abilities are encouraged to come along and meet us.

An especial welcome is made to young people who may have begun learning a brass instrument at school and wish to gain further skills and experience in an adult group.
Annual subscriptions are low ( £10 per month) and we do have some stock of instruments you could use.
Currently we have vacancies for cornets - any section, horns, base trombone and space for addition basses.
We aim to re-instigate our improvers session, so if you're fairly new to brass playing or a bit rusty we can support your progression.
Rehearsals are Thursdays 7.45 to 10.00
