Symphony No 1, 'A Sea Symphony' - Ralph Vaughan Williams
Symphony No 2, 'A London Symphony' - Ralph Vaughan Williams
Leslie Olive conducts a unique celebration concert for Ralph Vaughan Williams’s 150th anniversary.
Fresh from its triumphant success selling over 1,000 tickets around the County for 'The Lark’s Flight over Suffolk', Suffolk Philharmonic turns its attention to the two best-loved symphonies by the celebrated composer of The Lark Ascending.
Come and enjoy this unique adventure through crashing waves and howling winds in 'A Sea Symphony' and the street cries of London and the chimes of Big Ben in 'A London Symphony'.
On 15 October, the Saturday nearest the exact 150th anniversary of the composer’s birth, Suffolk Philharmonic Orchestra is joined by Eye Bach Choir and the English Arts Chorale, with soloists Elin Pritchard (soprano) and Gareth Brynmor John (baritone).
