Fleet Singers

The Fleet Singers summer concert has a nautical theme. The main feature of the concert is Stanford's lovely "Songs of the Fleet" with baritone soloist Peter Brooke. There will also be a varied selection of other music, from Gilbert and Sullivan to Purcell.

Fleet Singers handed out copies of Handel's Hallelujah Chorus to the audience as they arrived for the last concert which ended with over 100 people joining in a rousing rendition of the piece. This time the audience will get the chance to join in with call-and-response sea shanties and the stalwart Navy song "Heart of Oak".
