Social Media Manager (Volunteer)

Geeky Beats Big Band

This is a volunteer position perfect for someone enthusiastic about geek culture - who knows
their anime from their animation, their Avatar from their Avatar (you get the point) - and is keen
to gain experience managing social media for a creative, community-driven project.

You don’t need to be a musician, but an interest in our music style and themes is a big plus.
Being a fellow geek is a must - you need to “get that reference”.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and manage engaging content on our social media platforms (Facebook,
• Instagram, and more).
• Capture, edit, and post photos and video clips from rehearsals and gigs.
• Communicate with followers by responding to comments and messages in a friendly
• manner.
• Collaborate with the band and other volunteers to promote upcoming events and gigs.
• Report to the Chair and other committee members as required, plan and maintain a
• monthly content calendar to keep our audience engaged.

• Enthusiastic about geek culture (video games, anime, movies, TV shows).
• Familiar with social media platforms and content creation.
• Reliable, creative, and a good communicator.
• No formal music skills required, though an interest is welcomed.
• Must be 18+ and have the right to work in the UK.
