Stainer: Daughter of Jairus, Schubert Mass in G
Guilsfield Singers
A unique concert featuring a performance of Stainer's Daughter of Jairus, rarely performed since the composer's death in 1901. Gerry Howe, Guilsfield Singers' Musical Director has, with the blessing of Stainer's great grandson, transcribed and edited the score from Stainer's original manuscript. Also to be performed are Schubert's Mass in G and Parry's anthem "I was glad". The choir will be accompanied by the Maldwyn Strings and a wind group specially assembled for this concert.
