Havant and District Orchestral Society

Havant and District Orchestral Society, registered charity number 288747, runs the two Havant Orchestras: Havant Symphony Orchestra (HSO) and Havant Chamber Orchestra (HCO). HSO is a local amateur orchestra, and HCO includes selected amateur players from HSO plus other local players (such as music teachers), some of whom receive expenses. The orchestras each perform 3 main concerts a year: HSO at Oaklands School, Waterlooville, and HCO at Ferneham Hall, Fareham. HSO also performs at additional venues including a regular popular classics concert at Hayling Island. Members of the society are either amateur playing members, who pay a subscription, or concert season ticket holders.
