Highland Chamber Orchestra
About
The players - a mix of professionally-trained musicians and experienced amateurs - come from all over the Highlands. Concerts are given several times each year in different Highland locations. In the past, concerts have been held in Inverness, Strathpeffer, Nairn, Grantown-on-Spey, Dornoch, Ullapool and Wick. The orchestra also holds two playthrough days each year, usually in Dingwall, where a larger-scale symphonic work is worked on during the morning and early afternoon, followed by a complete playthrough which is open to friends and family to attend.
