KCS celebrates its return to the concert stage with a programme of glorious Classical works with The Purcell Orchestra. Mozart’s grand ‘Coronation Mass’ is paired with a charming Magnificat by Johann Christian Bach, before Haydn’s mighty ‘Nelson’ Mass provides a fitting climax. Though clouds occasionally gather, as befits a work with the subtitle ‘Mass in troubled times’, Haydn’s irrepressible spirit shines through, carrying all adversity with it.
