Lincolnshire International Chamber Music Festival 2021

Lincolnshire International Chamber Music Festival

LICMF presents a live programme of concerts around Lincolnshire from 13-17 July 2021.  We open at Doddington Hall with Mark Padmore, tenor and Morgan Szymanski, guitar with programme of 'Songs of Farewell' covering 400 years from Dowland, through Schubert to McNeff and Roth. On Wednesday, Grimsby Minster will resound with the Navarra String Quartet's playing of Schubert's Death and the Maiden Quartet together with Puccini, Kurtag and Janacek's Kreutzer Sonata. In All Saints Church, Gainsborough we welcome Mark Padmore, our Artist-in-Residence with our Artistic Director, Alissa Firsova for a double bill of Schumann's Kerner Lieder and Dichterliebe across two concerts, paired with Brahms Klavierstücke and Britten's Winter Words. We are delighted also to welcome back Britten Sinfonia, along with oboist, Nicholas Daniel and Mark Padmore for a special LICMF Mayflower commission by Jon Paul Mayse with Mozart's Oboe Quartet, Beethoven Trio for Flute, Violin and Viola and finishing with Warlock's The Curlew in the stunning surroundings of the Centenary Methodist Church, Boston. Our final concerts are in Lincoln's fine County Assembly Rooms with cellist Yoanna Prodanova and Alissa Firsova, piano delighting us with a programme entitled 'From Russia with Love'. Do come and join us for these socially distanced concerts in beautiful surroundings.  Check out our website: www.licmf.org.uk
