FOUNDING TRUSTEE RECRUITMENT
Launch the Next Chapter: Shape the Future of Luminatus Vocal Ensemble!
After ten successful years of acclaimed performance, Luminatus Vocal Ensemble is now at a critical juncture. We are seeking visionary Founding Trustees to help us establish our formal registered charity status. This is a rare chance to join a proven, high-calibre professional ensemble and make a huge impact on our sustainability and reach across the East Midlands and East of England.
About Luminatus Vocal Ensemble
Luminatus Vocal Ensemble is a highly acclaimed, professional group of singers based primarily in the East Midlands and East of England.
Our reputation for musical excellence is reflected in recent reviews, where critics have hailed us as 'spellbinding' and a 'choir of exceptional ability.' Our signature 'rich and full' sound is derived from the exceptional quality of our members:
Every singer is an established soloist in their own right.
We operate on a 'first amongst equals' principle, ensuring a consistently high vocal standard.
We bridge centuries by performing the beauty of Renaissance pieces alongside other music, including the powerful, resonant voices of contemporary women composers.
The Mission and your Role
Mission Statement: "Luminatus Vocal Ensemble is dedicated to enriching the public cultural life, primarily across the East Midlands and East of England, by performing high-quality classical choral music. Our mission is achieved by championing diverse repertoire, sustaining professional artistic practice through concerts, recordings, and commissions, and operating as a well-governed not-for-profit organisation."
We need your leadership to complete the final stages of our charity registration and help us become fully sustainable. We are specifically looking for individuals with the experience and vision to step into a leadership role, and we would especially like to hear from candidates interested in the role of Chair.
Core Activities You Will Govern
Concert Performance and Touring: Producing a calendar of high-quality classical music concerts throughout the East Midlands and East of England.
Recording and Dissemination: Planning and distributing recordings, focusing on Renaissance and contemporary women composers.
Commissioning New Works: Actively supporting the development of the choral art form by commissioning new compositions.
Sustainability: Securing grant funding and ensuring robust financial and legal governance as a charity.
