Community Come and Sing Day
Luton Choral Society
Come and experience the joy of singing in a choir. It's great fun, uplifting and excellent for your physical and mental health.
We will be learning a variety of popular choral pieces from both western and eastern european traditions, including -
- Barber: Agnus Dei (as used in ‘Platoon’) - https://youtu.be/fRL447oDId4
- Mozart: Laudate Dominum - https://youtu.be/MjB-U0I4VQA?t=179
- Whitacre: Animal Crackers - https://youtu.be/IPQz_rz9c44 and https://youtu.be/y6jpTXv631o
- Klonowski: Gaude Mater Polonia - https://youtu.be/NmWPHOggw6A
- All I have to do is Dream - https://youtu.be/Sg6BEof2zTI
- Somethin’ Stupid - https://youtu.be/Y_t2gNCXYbY
Please bring your own packed lunch - we will be providing teas and coffees.
There will be a focus on diversity and inclusion at the event, so everyone is invited from all communities in and around Luton. No experience is necessary - we will provide the music and we will have fun learning a variety of pieces under the help and direction of our conductor, Crispin Lewis, and also learn a little more about diversity and inclusion in the musical arts.
There are no tickets, but a voluntary donation at the door of £5 to £10 requested to cover the cost of the music
