Macclesfield Brass

Macclesfield Brass first met as an informal interest group on 20/1/2016 and registered as a charity and CIO on 3/6/2016. Our broad repertoire spans folk songs, spirituals, marches, big band, popular and World music. We are a brass band for adults. Members can join as absolute beginners. Tuition is given and instrument provided. Other members are those returning to playing after a lapse of many years, or are experienced musicians playing a brass instrument for the first time. After an initial period of expert one-to-one tuition, beginners play with the band where all members are tutored in small groups led by the more experienced players, under the guidance of our well-respected and highly-qualified musical director.
The band is gradually resuming a programme of events post-covid restrictions.
