Midland Opera

Midland Opera is delighted to present Carmen, the world's most popular opera, in "the round" at Stirchley Baths and St Martin in the Bullring, Birmingham. With Mitesh Khatri as Don Jose, Katharine Cooper as Carmen, Michael Lam as Escamillo and Hannah Macdonald as Michaela this production, directed by Sarah Hemsby Hughes of Heritage Opera, portrays the herione, not as the seductress, but an abused woman with few choices.  Ably assisted by Bournville Youth Chorus, Midland Opera chorus and professional band conducted by James Longstaffe, this is a show not to be missed!
