17th Century Female Composers

Musica Vera

In this concert the Choir will be exploring music by 17th Century female composers.  Included in the programme will be a setting of the Magnificat by Isabella Leonarda, with other items by Vittoria and Rafaella Aleotti, and Soprano solos composed by Barbara Strozzi.  Claudio Monteverdi's wonderful Beatus Vir will complete the programme.
