A feast of Baroque music with Newcastle Bach Choir, Newcastle Baroque Orchestra and 4 wonderful soloists. Bach’s cantatas are mini masterpieces: each deals with a particular theme and consists of solo arias, chorales and exciting choruses for the choir, all accompanied by sublime orchestration.

We are especially thrilled to present Zelenka's Dixit Dominus in A minor which is newly edited and has not been previously performed in the UK. Zelenka was a contemporary of J S Bach and his work deserves to be better known.
