newCHOIR will be performing music of the sea, looking at its destructive capabilities, a life on the waves, and the beauty of the sea in tranquil mood. Includes Stanford's Songs of the fleet and other well known pieces, and the lesser known but very atmospheric Jaakko Mäntyjärvi's Canticum Calamitatis Maritimae. Conductor Benedict Goodall with Benjamin Watkins (bass) and Bernard West (accompanist). Do join us for what promises to be a musical treat.
