New for 2023, our Wind Band Play Days are held at Culford School, Suffolk throughout the year and are open to musicians aged 16 and over with a playing standard of up to around grade 6 or equivalent.

If you are an adult returning to playing after a break, a young person who would like to gain experience playing in a large ensemble, a group of musicians from a community or concert band who would like the challenge of an intensive day of rehearsals or anyone who just wants to come along and have fun playing some great music, then this could be for you!

While we don’t ask for a minimum standard as such, to gain the most out of the day you will need to be able to read music to a competent standard.

Our conductor, Tom Milford has a wide experience of directing musicians of all ages and abilities and whatever your musical background, he will be able to encourage you and bring out the best in your playing.
