Music from Venice and the Mediterranean

Portishead Choral Society

Under its conductor, Jonathan Palmer, the choir will be accompanied in the first half of the concert by Bristol Brass Consort in early Baroque music by composers connected with St. Mark’s Venice – Monteverdi, Gabrieli and Schütz.

The second half of the concert will be a complete contrast, featuring light, nostalgic arrangements of well known popular songs from France, Spain, Italy and Greece – perfect for a summer evening!
