Christmas concert of seasonal music with mulled wine and mince pies

Portsmouth Baroque Choir

The renowned Portsmouth Baroque Choir directed by Malcolm Keeler presents a festive programme including familiar favourites and a refreshing selection of carols composed during our own lifetime. The first half of the concert includes advent settings by William Byrd and Thomas Weelkes to mark the 400th anniversaries of their deaths. Weelkes was local to the Portsmouth area, born in Elsted, organist and choir master at Chichester Cathedral.
