Prestbury Choral Society will present Haydn's choral masterpiece, The Creation, a combination of uplifting music and inspirational language, a celebration of life in its many forms, which is sure to delight the audience. The work is comprised of acts and scenes taken from the bible, with names characters whose arias and recitatives link with glorious choral sections to produce rhythmic, melodic music which is almost operatic and so full of life. The musical wordpainting of the scenes, the sunrise, storms, emerging sea life, plants and animals, is Haydn at his best, culminating in a rousing choral celebration of Creation.

Conducted by Gary Hulme, we will be joined by John Legrove (Organist), and soloists Rachel Speirs (Soprano), Philip O'Connor (Tenor), Graham McCusker (Baritone).
