Rochester Choral Society 150th Anniversary Summer Concert
Rochester Choral Society
Rochester Choral Society are celebrating their 150th Anniversary by performing the St.Paul Oratorio by Mendelssohn, the work they sang at their very first concert in 1873. The story of St. Paul is full of drama, action, intrigue, murderous plots and miracles. Felix Mendelssohn, the composer of the popular oratorio Elijah, tells the story of the conversion of the disciple Paul through some of the most beautiful and dramatic choral music ever written. Conducted by John Mountford and with organ accompaniment by Jeremy Lloyd and four outstanding guest soloists this will be a rousing concert on an historic occasion.
