Promoting chamber music for young people

Rosin Academy

Rosin Academy is a new venture to enable young musicians - string players in full time education (school or university) Grade 3+ standard - to experience the delights of playing chamber music. Our Artistic Director, Derek Williams, has been coaching youth string ensembles, mostly quartets, for several years.

We want to encourage as many young string players as possible to sample the thrill of playing chamber music with like minded peers!  
In our friendly 2-day non-residential course, all musicians will receive professional coaching in small ensembles and will rehearse and perform together in a string orchestra. 
The course culminates with an informal concert.
