RBCS Community Choir Christmas Concert

Rotherhithe and Bermondsey Choral Society

RBCS community choir will present its christmas concert on Saturday 14 December at St Mary's church in Rotherhithe. The choir will be accompanied by harp and organ. The programme will include Benjamin Britten's Ceremony of Carols, written on board ship, in an atmospheric mix of old English and Latin on his 1942 journey from the USA to Britain. We will also performa Pail Funcham's Ring The Bells, written to raise funds for Crisis, the homeless charity. There will be carols for audience members to join in with, as always. St Mary's is an intimate historic church, with a wonderful ambience at christmas time and a real community feel. Entry is frree, donations are welcome and refreshments will be available.
