Saffron Walden Choral Society

Saffron Walden Choral Society is a friendly, energetic and highly accomplished choir with a reputation for innovative programming and polished performance. Quintin Beer took over as Musical Director in April 2022. Almost all of our concerts are performed at the world-class Saffron Hall; recent sell-out highlights have included Walton's Belshazzar's Feast with LPO and Marin Alsop (2019), Handel’s Messiah (2016), a joint Armistice Day performance of Britten's War Requiem with Harlow Chorus (2017) and singing with the BBC Concert Orchestra for their Christmas Concert in 2016. We also work with a dozen local schools, particularly for the annual Spirit of Christmas concerts.
