Scunthorpe and North Lincolnshire Concert Society
Kammerphilharmonie Europa (The Chamber Orchestra of Europe) is one of the most ambitious concerts that the Scunthorpe Concert Society has promoted in its 67 year history. The Orchestra was founded in 2006 in Cologne and engages talented young musicians from within the European Community. In the interests of promoting the younger generation, the orchestra aims to provide promising artists the opportunity for further development in its various sections. The repertoire of the Orchestra ranges from Baroque to modern.
Our concert on 10th March will feature the talents of Cyrill Gusarov (trumpet) and Michel Gershwin (violin) in two diverse concertos, one by Hummel and one by Bach. The complete programme is shown below.
