Skipton Choral Society is a mixed choir of around 60 singers and is open to anyone who enjoys singing. We cover a wide range of types of music, mainly traditional but also some more innovative pieces, and our members vary in musical skills. A basic ability to read music is all that’s needed. The choir has been running since 2013 and whilst it is based in Skipton, membership comes from many of the surrounding towns and villages. We are a friendly group of singers and welcome new members. We meet on Monday evenings in Christ Church, Skipton and start at 7.00pm and finish at 9.00pm. Our year runs from September to July and we perform three major concerts each year as well as occasional public engagements such as carolling.
