Beethoven Classics at the Menuhin Hall
Surrey Mozart Players
Following on from their very successful concert at the Menuhin Hall in 2018, the Surrey Mozart Players are delighted to be returning with inspirational, young conductor Edward Farmer and pianist James Brawn to continue their Beethoven piano cycle with the masterful ‘Emperor’ Concerto. The programme opens with another great Beethoven work, his Coriolan Overture and concludes with Bizet’s youthful and exuberant Symphony no. 1. This will be the third collaboration between James Brawn and the Surrey Mozart Players performing Beethoven's Piano Concertos at the Menuhin Hall. Mr Brawn is a Steinway artist and wonderful interpreter of Beethoven - his performance of Concerto no. 5 is not to be missed. Surrey Mozart Players is a Guildford-based chamber orchestra with earned a well-deserved reputation for imaginative, exciting and entertaining programmes featuring repertoire from Baroque and Classical, to modern masterpieces including performances of newly-commissioned works.
