Brighton Festival Concert
A fantastic evening of music from one of Russia’s finest composers.
At once both brutal and intensely romantic, Shostakovitch presents the audience with the whole gamut of emotions.
Beginning with his celebratory ‘Festive Overture’, the orchestra flexes its muscles in readiness for later on in the concert. Our concerto this evening,Piano No. 2 is played by an orchestra and audience favourite, Simon Ballard, who will tug at your heart strings and stimulate your senses.
The Symphony tonight is the mighty No. 5, full of passion, vitality and drive.
So, an evening eagerly anticipated and one which will not disappoint!
